Song lyrics
Adio, kerida
Tu madre kuando te pario
Y te kito al mundo,
Korason eya no te dio
Para amar segundo.
Adio, Adio kerida,
No kiero la vida,
Me l’amargates tu.
Va, bushkate otro amor,
Aharva otras puertas.
Aspera otro ardor,
Ke para mi sos muerta.
Aspera otro ardor,
Ke para mi sos muerta.
Adio,
Adio kerida,
No kiero la vida,
Me l’amargates tu.
Goodbye, beloved
Your mother, when giving birth to you
And brought you to the world
didn't give you a heart
To love another person
Goodbye,Goodbye, beloved,
I don't want this life,
That you soured
Go, look for another love
Harm other doors,
Wait for another
passion,
Because to me you are dead
Goodbye,
Goodbye, beloved,
I don't want this life,
That you soured

Yo boli de foja en foja
The song is titled “Yo boli de foja en foja” (= I flew from leaf to leaf) and is a typical Jewish wedding song. It accompanied the bride back home, after the ritual bath (Mikveh) which was in the synagogue building and before the wedding ceremony. The rhythm of the song is that of traditional Greek “syrto”, a widely popular dance in Greek weddings.
